Strategic Development Associate

Company:

My client is a leading provider of cold storage and logistics infrastructure. They have a small headquarters in London, but they operate across 7 countries with close to 700 across the broader business. They were originally set up by a large PE firm, but have recently been acquired by another PE firm to be part of a roll up. They now have a valuation of $1 billion, making them a unicorn firm. Following their acquisition, they are on an ambitious value creation journey. Hence, they are still growing...


Role:

The Strategic Development Associate will play a crucial role in supporting a variety of projects aimed at increasing profitability, driving growth through M&A and expansion projects, and enabling integration across the group.


You will report into the Strategic Development Manager, as well as working alongside the Operational Excellence Director, COO, and Revenue Management Director.


Main Responsibilities:

The overall aim of this role will be to create strategies to increase revenue and decrease costs, to improve profit overall. Hence, you will be working on three main types of work:

  • Working on new potential acquisitions, carrying out due diligences – commercial and operational
  • Other elements of growth strategy – assessing markets to expand into, go-to-market strategies
  • Cost reduction/ optimisation


Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience working in a strategy consultancy
  • Experience in due diligences/ growth and go-to-market strategy/ cost reduction projects
  • No industry-specific experience required, but a bonus if you have worked in industrials/ manufacturing/logistics/ food and beverage
