We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Conveyancing Assistant/ Trainee Solicitor to join our ever growing team at David J Foster & Co. David J Foster & Co is part of the DJF Solicitors family with over 30 lawyers and over 50 employees across 7 offices in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting solicitors and conveyancers in managing residential and commercial property transactions from start to finish.
- Conducting property searches, gathering relevant documentation, and ensuring all necessary legal paperwork is complete.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Preparing and drafting legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
- Assisting with the completion of property registrations and Land Registry filings.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of transactions and client communications.
- Providing administrative support to the conveyancing team as needed.
Requirements:
- Recent previous experience working in the UK (conveyancing or legal environment) is essential.
- Solid understanding of property law and the conveyancing process.
- Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and technology for legal and administrative tasks.
- A positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
