The SDR manager will be responsible for the day to day management of the SDR team at Apprentify in Wilmslow. The aim of this role is to build and manage a team of highly energised and productive SDRs, capable of consistently delivering a high volume of quality new business meetings.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Team Management – you will be accountable for the performance and results of the team.
- Monitors, tracks and reports on KPIs.
- Performs regular team meetings and 1-1s. Promotes success, but also addresses underperformance. Uses all of this, in combination, to ensure team targets are hit.
- Motivating and energising the team to ensure activity is consistent.
- Helping support the internal trainer to embed sales skills and practices and ensuring that skill gaps are identified.
- Complete all employee lifecycle events for direct reports (creating induction, probation, performance management, CPD etc.)
- Be able to demonstrate excellent sales skills, especially those relevant to an SDR role, to ensure credibility as a leader.
- Ensure direct reports maintain accurate CRM records in line with company procedures.
- Demonstrate how internal sales tools can be used to improve performance, as well as monitor usage of tools within the team.
- Support with the recruitment and selection of SDRs as required.
KPIs
- Each SDR’s probation is managed well, regardless of outcome.
- SDR team targets are met (inc. meetings booked, meetings attended and deals achieved)
- SDRs are eligible for promotion within 2 years of start date (i.e.t they consistently meet their targets in line with company policy).
- Demonstrates the company values.
Criteria
- Line manager experience of at least two years
- Has excelled at a junior/intermediate sales role
- Line manager experience in a commission-driven role (desirable)
- Experience of working in a commercial education setting (desirable)
- Thorough understanding of the sales cycle and key sales skills
- Thorough understanding of good practice performance management processes
- Understanding of using a CRM
- IT-literate, with ability to produce reports and presentations to a high standard
- Extremely strong line management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both junior and senior colleagues
- Ability to effectively manage individual and team performance
- Ability to plan and priorities workload effectively
- Commercially-minded and professional in conduct and outlook
