Estimator (Main Contractor)

We are actively seeking Construction Estimators who thrive in a team-oriented environment to deliver single and two-stage tenders, on behalf of a highly successful main contractor.

The Company:

Our client boasts a strong history of submitting persuasive and competitive tenders, winning contracts ranging from £1M to £50M across the commercial, pharmaceutical, and education sectors. They are known for their consultative, non-contractual approach, fostering robust and enduring business partnerships from the start.

Based in Bedfordshire, the Estimator will join an adept team, providing budgetary and cost information throughout the tender process.

Responsibilities include:

Developing cost plans and budgets in alignment with the Bid Strategy, tailored for each construction project.
Collaborating with Surveying and Operational teams to formulate competitive tenders.
Engaging with specialist contractors for competitive and precise costings.
Contributing to the constructability and value engineering discussions.
Offering guidance and mentorship to the Estimating team s junior members.
Generating or outsourcing Bills of Quantities as needed.
Participating in tender review and adjudication meetings.
Involvement in post-tender and tender interview meetings alongside senior team members.

Requirements:

HNC/Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
You will be an experienced Estimator, capable of taking on a £10m tender
Residing within a commutable distance to Bedford.
