Who we are looking for

A Production Database Team Leader, who will help coordinate and drive team efforts to deliver software solutions.


The production database automation team is responsible for developing and supporting a growing number of innovative custom-built solutions. Core skills within the team include C#, Blazor, Ansible, Jenkins, Powershell, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and Spanner.


You will be working alongside some of the best developers in the industry and will receive exposure to innovative technologies, as well as having the opportunity to influence the technical direction of the team.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in a leadership role within a delivery focused department or team.
  • Demonstrable experience driving projects from conception to execution, with a record of accomplishment of successful outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership and organisational management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent understanding of software development, in particular C# .NET.
  • Good understanding of database technologies, in particular SQL Server.
  • Passionate about delivering technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in technical and non-technical subjects.

  • Providing clear direction, mentorship and guidance to a team of highly skilled professionals, demonstrating integrity and a strong work ethic.
  • Fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity and continuous learning and improvement.
  • Setting performance expectations and identify growth opportunities within the team.
  • Overseeing the execution of projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Ensuring timely provision of agreed deliverables throughout the software development life cycle, by understanding both customer and technical requirements.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, identifying automation opportunities.
  • Identifying and mitigating risk, removing blockers to delivery.
  • Analysing the impact of change.
  • Distributing knowledge and mentoring team members.
  • Providing performance feedback and inputting into staff appraisals.
