We are seeking an experienced and qualified Gold Card Electrician to join our dynamic team.

Electrician Job Description:

As a Gold Card Electrician, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of electrical services on new build commercial buildings. You will work as part of a dedicated installation team, ensuring all electrical, power, control, and network installations meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Installation:

   • Perform electrical installations in new build commercial properties, ensuring full compliance with the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) regulations.
   • Provide complete supervision of power, control, and network installations, ensuring they are executed to the highest standards.
   • Collaborate with other trades and contractors on-site to ensure smooth and coordinated project delivery.

2. Commissioning & Testing:

   • Commission control loops using calibrated test equipment to match the plant response requirements, ensuring optimal system performance.
   • Conduct rigorous testing and inspection of installed systems to verify compliance and functionality.
   • Document and report on all commissioning activities, providing detailed records for client handover.

3. Compliance & Safety:

   • Ensure all work is carried out in strict adherence to relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
   • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical codes and safety practices, implementing them consistently across all projects.
   • Participate in regular safety audits and risk assessments, contributing to the overall safety culture on-site.

4. Project Supervision:

   • Oversee electrical works on assigned projects, managing day-to-day activities and ensuring timely completion.
   • Provide technical guidance and support to junior electricians and apprentices, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
   • Liaise with project managers and site supervisors to address any issues or changes in project scope.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Gold Card Electrician holder under the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS).
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in electrical installations within commercial building projects.
• Strong understanding of IEE regulations and electrical safety standards.
• Proficient in commissioning and using calibrated test equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
