Mobile Plant Operator

Axiom Personnel are currently recruiting for a Mobile Plant Operator for one of our well established clients to contribute to a sustainable future. As a Mobile Plant Operator, your role is pivotal in managing materials at their Transfer Station.

Salary: 31,950 inclusive of London Weighting Allowance - 17.06 p/h.
Hours: 36 hours per week (shift rota)

Key duties include:

- Separating and processing recycling materials (metal, cardboard, wood, paper, green waste)

-As a Mobile Plant Operator, you will be assisting other team members and working in a team.
- Loading vehicles to their maximum permitted weights
- Supporting HRRC operations by compacting and packing materials
- Operating various vehicles and machinery, such as wheeled loading shovels, elevated cab 360s, and roll-on-roll-off lorries
- Collaborating with the traffic controller to maximise material value and revenue
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and maintaining site cleanliness

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is proactive, physically fit, and experienced in similar roles such as Plant Operator, Heavy Equipment Operator, Recycling Facility Operator, or Waste Management Technician.

Essential requirements include:

- Up to two years' experience driving the specified mobile plant (roll on roll off, wheeled loaded shovel)
- A valid driving licence
- Proficiency in using various machinery and vehicles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to health and safety standards
