Day rate: up to £500/day

Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 5 days

Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and driven Supply Chain Manager Support to provide guidance and support to the management of the procurement and inventory teams to deliver their duties in accordance with company procedures and objectives in order to meet the wider Asset Operations directorate company goals and targets. Develop supply base procurement strategies, identifying key suppliers and managing risk.


Key Responsibilities:

  • One of the key challenges the role faces is that it must fulfil a significant amount of demand (there are circa 400 wind turbines to buy goods and services for) including strategic spares and stock holding.
  • Another key challenge the role faces is obsolescence so the role must work closely with colleagues to manage and overcome this issue.
  • Process and Procedures
  • Tiering the Supply Chain
  • UK warehouses Inventory Management and guidance to key stakeholders
  • Warehouse/ Logistics tender for UK.
  • AO Supply Chain governance


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree level qualification in a numerate discipline and the ability to demonstrate strong supply chain, procurement and inventory management experience.
  • Experience of working in an operational environment, ideally with an engineering or industrial sector background.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of procurement and inventory management and a proven track record.
