The Role: Senior CAT Manager (London City)
- This role will appeal to you because you are deeply motivated to develop people and build teams.
- You will be a senior manager overseeing a team of experienced catastrophe analysts within the Latam & Caribbean Analytics team.
- As such, the role entails a mix of coaching and day-to-day management
- You will leverage your technical and management experience to nurture and develop your direct reports supporting them in delivering client solutions and internal projects, enabling them on their career path.
- You will report to GallagherRe’s Head of Analytics for Latin America & Caribbean
The skills and experience:
- You will have proven managerial experience (at least 5 years managing people, preferably 10 years).
- Ideally, you’ll have worked at a Reinsurer and / or a Broker having gained significant CAT risk management experience.
- While people management is key, you will have also demonstrated how you can leverage your technical experience to support revenue generation.
- You’ll have a proven track record collaborating across teams, across functions leveraging your superior communication skills
The requirements:
You will have:
- An advanced degree in a numerate or hazard-related subject
- Deep experience in catastrophe risk management and managing teams
- Deep experience of (re)insurance business
- Working knowledge of catastrophe vendor models
- Superior communication skills
