Job Title: Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)

Location: UK-based with international travel and time at the Bristol office.

Salary: £120,000 - £150,000 + performance-based bonus + equity options



At INSPHERE, we’re pushing the boundaries of robotics and metrology, delivering cutting-edge hardware, software, and consulting solutions to global markets. Our innovation-driven projects have gained international attention, and as we enter our next growth phase—particularly expanding into the US—we’re seeking a strategic and driven Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to lead this charge.



Our mission is to drive innovation in smart factory solutions, enabling more efficient, adaptable, and high-performance manufacturing systems that minimise resource waste and foster improved production environments. We operate across several advanced industries, including aerospace, automotive, composites, and additive manufacturing.



Our Chief Revenue Officer must be a hands-on revenue generator, you will be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to drive business growth directly. You will see yourself setting ambitious revenue targets, take ownership of the sales pipeline, and actively engage in generating and closing high-value deals.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Strategic Leadership: Define and lead the implementation of a go-to-market strategy focused on industry, territory, and customer segmentation to maximise revenue opportunities.


  • Revenue Growth: Own revenue growth across our product lines (software, hardware, and services), ensuring alignment with overall business goals.


  • Sales Playbook Development: Develop a scalable sales playbook, outlining strategies for target industries, territories, and product mixes to ensure team consistency and success.


  • Market Expansion: Drive our expansion into the US and other key markets, leveraging your international expertise to build winning market entry strategies.


  • Team Development: Recruit, build, and inspire a high-performance commercial team, including sales, marketing, customer success, and account management functions.


  • Partner Ecosystem: Identify and forge strategic partnerships with distributors, suppliers, and stakeholders to accelerate market penetration.


  • Board Reporting: Experience being accountable at Board level for a revenue target and be able to present revenue performance and growth strategies to the Board.



Experience:



  • Track Record: Proven experience in senior revenue leadership roles, ideally within manufacturing or related industries, with a focus on scaling an immature commercial function towards an eight-figure revenue journey.


  • Strategic Vision: A track record of developing and executing go-to-market strategies across multiple revenue channels.


  • International Expansion: Significant experience scaling businesses internationally, particularly in the US market.


  • Commercial Acumen: Strong experience managing complex revenue streams, including product, services, and software sales.


  • Leadership: Experience building and leading cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, and customer success.


  • Industry Knowledge: You’ll need to know how hi-tech manufacturing works and ideally how to sell hardware and software solutions into these clients, particularly in industries including automotive and aerospace.


  • Analytical Mindset: Strong data-driven approach to evaluating market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.

The Package:


  • Base salary of between £120,000 - £150,000
