Permanent
£40,000 + OT + Benefits
Monday to Friday (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00)

Our client is a global leader in Precision & CNC Engineering. An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical biased Maintenance Engineer to join the team.
Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the Engineer will work alongside a team of engineers within maintenance, projects, etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Undertake the day to day electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair of all machinery, plant, equipment & facilities.
  • Liaise with Engineering Manager, Shift Managers and other shift staff in providing electrical and mechanical maintenance support on shift.
  • Undertake electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis and repair on plant and machinery.
  • Identify and report on materials and parts required to overcome breakdowns and repairs.
  • Breakdown resolution, repairs and improvements to all machinery and processes.
  • The use of multi test equipment to identify and rectify faults within control systems.
  • Record detailed and accurate repairs information relating to repair inspections or completed repair jobs.
  • Ensure parts required to repair machines are ordered through the relevant process in a timely fashion.
  • Undertake training, as necessary to maintain high standards in the quality of work provided.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
  • City & Guilds Part 3 or ONC/OND/HNC Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent (Essential)
  • Experience gained in a manufacturing environment (Essential)
  • Pneumatics fault finding (Essential)
  • Interpretation of complex electrical drawings (Essential)
  • An understanding of electronics is desirable but not essential
  • Experience in the following modern control systems (Desirable)
    o PLCs fault finding
    o Drives & Controls
    o Encoders, sensors & feedback systems
    o CNC machine controls
  • Modifications to electrical and electronics circuits (Desirable)
    Retrofitting of drives and configuring parameters (Desirable)
    Some experience of installation projects (Desirable)
