Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - £50k-£65k – Buckinghamshire – Electric Motors

Platform Recruitment has partnered with a leading company specialising in the design, manufacture, and distribution of electro-mechanical instruments. As part of their expansion plan, they’re seeking an experienced Senior Engineer with expertise in electric motor design. The ideal candidate will have a passion for all aspects of product development, from concept generation and prototyping to testing, analysis, and manufacturing.

Main Duties:

+ Produce conceptual designs

+ Act as the subject matter expert in electric motor design

+ 3D CAD design

+ Prototype & testing designs

+ Design validation

+ Precision mechanism design

+ Design from concept through to product launch

Skills & Experience:

+ Degree in Engineering

+ Electric motor design experience

+ Strong 3D CAD skills

+ Creativity and blue sky thinking

+ Experience in designing precision mechanisms

+ Knowledge of different manufacturing processes

+ Experience in designing electro-mechanical products is advantageous

The salary will be between £50,000-£65,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefit package available including a good bonus.
