Who we are looking for

An Application Packaging and Deployment Specialist, who will be responsible for the continual design, configuration and management of all application packaging and security patching technologies.


You will be an experienced engineer with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail.


Providing 3rd line support for global endpoints, ensuring they remain operational, compliant, and secure in a 24/7 business. Your tasks include creating packaged applications, updating endpoints, remediating vulnerabilities, resolving security risks and exploring future technologies.


Executing project-related tasks following a structured methodology and providing regular updates will be part of your routine in a fast-paced environment that values hard work and efficient delivery. Additionally, you will respond to escalated technical issues, ensuring prompt service restoration.


This role is eligible for the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.


Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Ability to manage and support endpoint tools and services such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MECM), SCCM, Intune and Azure.
  • Excellent knowledge of application packaging tooling Master Packager, Admin Studio, PSADT and Orca.
  • Experience in large scale application roll outs, upgrade and removals end to end.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 App Admin Centre and Entra administration tasks.
  • Exposure to PowerShell Universal, Grafana and Splunk.
  • Advanced PowerShell and scripting knowledge used in conjunction with API's.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and aptitude to interact with many different areas of the Business.
  • Experience with managing and delivering projects.
  • Enhanced knowledge of security principles and experience using WSUS, AutoPatch, Ivanti and Patch My PC.


Main Responsibilities

  • Taking responsibility for the continual design, configuration and management of all application packaging and security patching technologies.
  • Creating packaged applications adhering to Company standards for global deployment across the estate.
  • Installing security, non-security, OS, third party and feature updates across the estate for on premise and SaaS applications.
  • Reviewing new and current technology and presenting service improvements.
  • Managing and supporting end user technology platforms including deployment, security, device management and application packaging.
  • Producing all technical documentation associated with each platform and service such as HLD, LLDs and TDGs.
  • Incorporating continual rollouts, upgrades and removals of applications ensuring the Business remains compliant and secure.
  • Recording configuration standards and processes, as well as creating training material, quick guides and knowledge based articles.
  • Creating reports and dashboards to build a view of the estate.
  • Adhering to all published processes, procedures and working practices as outlined in standard operating procedures.
