Salary: £60k to £67k base salary + 10% bonus

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Working Model: Hybrid (4 days in the office initially, moving to 3 days with flexibility)


Company Overview:

The company is seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to join their Group IT function. This role is integral to their operations across the UK, Ireland, and the USA. The successful candidate will be based at their head office in Milton Keynes. The company is a leader in the retail, hospitality, and fuel sectors, and this role will play a critical part in driving IT and technology projects to success.


Role Purpose:

The IT Project Manager will take ownership of high-priority projects within the Group IT function. This role involves managing the implementation of key IT systems and applications across multiple territories, including the UK, US, and Ireland. The projects include the deployment of a new HR communications and SharePoint application, as well as high-priority cybersecurity initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage the successful delivery of complex IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Application Implementation: Oversee the implementation of a new HR communications and SharePoint application, ensuring seamless integration across all three territories.
  • Cybersecurity Projects: Manage critical cybersecurity initiatives, prioritising the protection and security of the IT infrastructure.
  • Proggio Implementation: Coordinate the rollout of the Proggio project management tool across the UK, US, and Ireland, ensuring its successful adoption.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with senior stakeholders across the organisation, providing regular updates and ensuring their requirements are met.
  • Risk & Change Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate methodologies.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide detailed status reports to IT leadership and key stakeholders.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven IT Project Management Expertise: A minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably within the retail, hospitality, or technology sectors.
  • Application & Cybersecurity Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing application implementations and cybersecurity projects.
  • Retail & Hospitality Industry Knowledge: Experience in the retail, food manufacturing, or hospitality industries, with a strong understanding of point-of-sale (POS) systems and industry-specific IT requirements.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with project management tools, particularly Proggio, and strong IT and technology knowledge.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating gravitas and leadership in chaotic settings.

Interview Process:

The selection process includes a two-stage interview, with the first stage conducted via Teams and the second likely to be face-to-face. A potential third stage within the office may be required.
