Brierley J are currently recruiting for an Assistant Facilities Manager to work in house for a client who has multiple business centres.

The role will be to support the current Facilities Manager in delivering the daily building and house keeping services to ensure the workspace runs smoothly.

As a business they pride themselves on attention to detail and implementing best practice.

Day to day the role will entail:

  • Working with the Facilities Team and subcontractors to manage the day to day maintenance of all sites.
  • Reporting and recording faults with FF&E to the helpdesk and following up when necessary.
  • Effectively implementing Health, Safety, Security and Environment policies
  • Conducting monthly self-assessment SLA checks in support of quarterly contract performance requirements.
  • Assist in the planning, implementation and recording of the PPM program.
  • Providing excellent internal and external customer service and can respond effectively to highly sensitive issues.
  • Having an input into the new FM system and establishing its successful implementation
  • Deputise for the Facilities Manager in their absence


This role would suit someone from either a trade maintenance background who is looking to take a step up to management or someone currently working on a maintenance helpdesk who is interested in being in a more hands on role. They are looking for someone who has good communication skills, can deal with issues ranging from senior level, administration and maintenance or engineering. Someone who has good IT skills and can demonstrate a good knowledge of health and safety.
