Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Structural Engineer at FJ Samuely & Partners Limited in Weybridge. The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for leading structural design projects from concept to completion, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring that our designs meet the highest standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of complex structural systems for a variety of projects.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop innovative engineering solutions.
• Conduct structural assessments and provide recommendations for renovations or improvements.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional development.
• Prepare and review detailed engineering reports, calculations, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts and solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Chartered. MIStructE or CEng
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in structural engineering design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis softwares.
• Strong understanding of building codes and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
