Hays are working exclusively with a prestigious Public Sector organisation in Shropshire who are looking for a Financial Reporting & Taxation Assistant to join their team
Your new role
You will be responsible for the day to day elements of Financial accounting, treasury management and asset management as well as supporting the Head of Financial Accounting with VAT and tax requirements.
Duties will include
- Financial Accounting:
- Bank reconciliations for multiple banks
- Ensuring ledger and fixed assets are reconciled
- Calculating depreciation
- Analysis
- Balance sheet maintenance
- Treasury management:
- Cash flow reports
- Maintaining Intercompany balances
- VAT & Taxation:
- VAT returns
- Lead the analysis preparation for the completion of the Corporate Tax returns
What you'll need to succeed This role is aimed at an AAT Qualified or individual currently studying ACCA with the aim of supporting you to complete your ACCA Qualification. You will have experience of Accountancy and general control account reconciliations including bank, tax and VAT and use of financial systems
You should have a keen eye for detail, be a strong communicator and the ability to work well within a team
