The Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) is seeking one Lay member and one Registrant member for the CNHC Board.

Are you interested in setting standards in the public interest? CNHC is seeking one Lay member and one Registrant member for the CNHC Board.
( 'Lay' in this context means one who has never completed training or practised in any occupation regulated by CNHC.)

The roles provide an opportunity to contribute to the governance of CNHC and help shape the future of voluntary regulation of complementary healthcare practitioners in the UK. Applications from individuals with a background in finance, accounting or business would particularly complement the current skills base of the Board. Applicants must be based in the UK.

CNHC is the independent regulatory body for complementary healthcare practitioners, established in 2008 with support and funding from the Department of Health. Our public register of over 6,000 qualified therapists provides confirmation that individuals have met UK standards for safe and competent practice.

The Board meets for a half-day four times a year. Meetings are held in London. The meeting dates for 2025 are 13 February, 29 April, 16 July, and 6 November.

There is no remuneration for attendance at Board meetings, but travel costs are reimbursed.

Deadline for applications: 5pm on 18 November 2024.

Interviews will be held on 16 and 17 December 2024.
