A leading UK-based environmental charity is looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the charity's financial strategy, enabling it to deliver on its mission to tackle climate change and protect our planet.



About the Role:

As the Head of FP&A, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic financial insights and leading the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will work closely with senior leadership and operational teams, ensuring that resources are effectively allocated and aligned with the charity's strategic goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Delivering timely, accurate financial analysis and reports to inform decision-making.
  • Providing financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support the charity's growth and sustainability.
  • Overseeing performance management, including financial KPIs and variance analysis.
  • Supporting project managers in monitoring budgets and ensuring the efficient use of resources.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders to support funding proposals and grant management.


About You:

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in FP&A, financial strategy, and management reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
  • A passion for the environment and sustainability, with experience in the charity or non-profit sector being an advantage.
  • Proficient in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting tools, with advanced Excel skills.
