Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Nursery Name . The ideal candidate will have a love for working with children and supporting their early development. You will work as part of a dynamic team to provide high-quality care and education to children in a safe, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Childcare & Education:

    • Provide high-quality care, ensuring children's well-being, safety, and development at all times.
    • Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities based on the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum.
    • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback and maintaining accurate records of development.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with children and their families, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment.
  • Health & Safety:

    • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures, ensuring that the nursery environment is clean, safe, and stimulating.
    • Administer first aid as required and report any accidents or concerns in line with nursery policies.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with other practitioners to deliver a high standard of care and education.
    • Participate in regular staff meetings, training, and development activities.
  • Parental Communication:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's progress and development.
    • Encourage parental involvement and maintain open communication regarding children's needs and experiences.
  • Professional Development:

    • Stay current with best practices in early childhood education and continuously seek opportunities for professional development.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with young children, ideally within a nursery setting.
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work, with the ability to use initiative and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A passion for early childhood education and providing the best possible care for young children.
  • First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
