Senior FPGA Design Engineer – 5G (O-RAN PHY)

Location: Berkshire (hybrid remote, WFH 3 days per week)

Permanent – Circa £70,000 to £80,000 salary, plus bonus, 25 days holiday (plus stats), pension, life insurance, healthcare etc..

Senior FPGA Design Engineer with expertise in digital design of wireless communications systems using Verilog, Vivado, and ModelSim required by innovative, international 5G solutions provider in Berkshire. The Senior FPGA Engineer will play an important role as an individual contributor within an international team tasked with the development of a range of products with broad commercial applications within the telecommunications sector.

Key skills:

• 5+ years of FPGA / ASIC expertise from architecture through to design and verification
• Strong skills in RTL design of Xilinx FPGAs using Verilog and Vivado
• Strong skills in simulation tools (eg. QuestaSim and / or ModelSim)
• Skills in hardware debugging
• Strong communication skills, able to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable skills:

• Experience within wireless communications PHY layer DSP hardware implementation
• Prior experience within telecommunications (4G LTE / 5G NR)
