Senior Electrical Field Engineer (Northern Ireland and Ireland)

Location: Please note, this is a field-based role and will require regular travel across Northern Ireland and Ireland, with planned stays away from home.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, flexible working hours usually within 7am – 7pm (with potential for some out of hours cover/site requirements)

Experience Level: Due to the nature of the role, a high level of electrical competency with commercial systems and experience in a similar role is a requirement.

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 pa depending on experience and qualification level (plus performance bonus scheme).

Vehicle: A company vehicle is provided, so a full license is a requirement.

We specialise in our range of inverters and battery systems which allow our users to store their renewable/cheap-rate energy, ease pressure on the grid and save some serious money! Our systems range from 2.6kWh to multi-megawatt grid scale solutions, along with a range of accessories including smart plugs and EV chargers.

Due to our continued success and increased rate of installs, we’re looking to add an additional Senior Electrical Field Engineer to our team based across the country to support planned and future installations, and increase the standard of service we provide and decrease our existing SLAs. What you’ll be doing:

The Senior Electrical Field Engineer will be responsible for the testing, maintenance, installation and repair of our domestic and commercial energy storage systems for installers and end users to provide minimal downtime and an excellent level of customer service.

This will be a really varied role which will oversee the full delivery process of our commercial solutions, as well as systems diagnostics and repair.

Day to day requirements of the role may include:

· Self-management of vehicle and ‘van stock’ to ensure the parts required are in stock on the vehicle to prevent return visits

· Identification and resolution of potential issues with equipment both on and off site including completing a pre-defined site visit sheet to keep track of installation errors or product issue.

· Liaison between the different departments within the business to develop new and current products.

· On-site training to new and existing installers or distributors.

· Installation, commissioning and O&M of our commercial systems.

· Pre-sales site surveys of potential commercial installation sites.

· Ownership and liaison with 3rd party suppliers/manufacturers/contractors.

Full product specific training will be given to the successful candidate, so you will be required to spend a minimum of 1 week completing office-based training in England (expenses paid) followed by onsite and remote support from your team.

What we're looking for:

· Full UK (or equivalent) driving license (essential)

· Electrical competence, or an electrical background (essential)

· 18th Edition (or up to date equivalent electrical qualification) and be a qualified electrician (CSCS card preferred)

· Good level of commercial electrician experience (essential)

· Happy to travel, with potential for overnight stays and night/weekend work due to nature of sites (e.g. hospital/supermarkets etc.)

· IT skills, as both off and on site will require the use of a PC/Laptop

· Happy to work collaboratively or independently

· Experience or a passion for the Renewable Energy industry

· Ability to work effectively under pressure

· Outstanding communication skills, both spoken and written

· Efficient planning and organisation capability

· Interest in problem solving and issue identification

· An active learner with a thirst for knowledge

· Keen attention to detail

· Positive and helpful attitude
