Location: Currently operating hybrid working in our West London Office

Contract: Permanent

Pattern: Full Time (standard hours 9am - 5.30pm

Salary: £50,000 to £58,000 (depending on experience)

About the role:

We are looking for a People Systems and Data Manager to lead the ongoing development and integration of various People Systems and Data to ensure the meet Ark's needs. This role involves providing both strategic and operational People data analytics, reporting, and insights to support our Central office and Schools. You will also play a key role in training, inspiring, and supporting colleagues in the effective collection, collation, and use of data to benefit all stakeholders. The People Systems & Data Manager will play a crucial role in the People team by overseeing the delivery of high-quality People systems.

The People Services Manager will work collaboratively with others in the People Directorate:

  • Head of People Operations: building a strong People Operations service and supporting associated projects
  • People Services Manager: building a strong relationship to ensure that People systems are utilised fully to improve employee experience, efficiency, and drive improvements in People processes
  • Reward and Governance Manager: build and maintain a strong relationship that builds quality, accuracy and efficiency into processes, payroll, data, and HR transactions
  • Ark Central People Business Partnering Team: ensure that effective partnerships deliver on central initiatives and work collaboratively on process improvement and policy
  • Recruitment & Talent and the Ark Learning Institute: ensure that there are smooth onboarding journeys for successful candidates and that safer recruitment learning and other key areas are well managed in practice

This is an exciting opportunity to join the People Operations Team at Ark Central as we start to review our People Systems and ways of working to improve the employee experience of the people services we deliver.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for People management information and reporting throughout the network
  • Managing and improving the People data, its quality and integrity throughout the network
  • Work with other HR staff in each of the 39 schools to ensure the accuracy of People data as needed
  • Line manage and support the People System Officer, guiding their development and ensuring effective collaboration
  • Responsible for Central People systems and their integration into the wider central and school systems and network
  • Automation and ongoing improvement of People operational processes
  • Management of People systems projects

Key Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Extensive experience using HR systems, including automation of processes and procedures
  • Experience of managing large data sets in a large, complex organisation; knowledge of the education sector would be an advantage
  • Excellent Excel skills and PowerBI/Tableau experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of managing and developing direct reports
  • Knowledge and understanding of Data Protection and Freedom of Information requests
  • Detail orientated and highly organised
  • Able to present complex data clearly
  • Pro-active and solution orientated in their approach
