Senior Development Engineer – £55k-£65k – Cambridgeshire – Test Rig Design

Platform Recruitment is partnering with a leading robotics and automation company to find an experienced Development Engineer. In this role, you will design and develop custom test rigs for comprehensive testing. Your expertise will guide the creation of reliable and robust systems through the development of unique test environments, hands-on testing, and experimental methodologies. You’ll be involved in electro-mechanical assembly, and testing of components, systems, and later transfer to manufacture.

Main Duties:

+ Create bespoke test environments

+ Perform hands-on testing and experimental work

+ Electro-mechanical device assembly and testing

+ Lead design verification and reliability testing

+ Facilitate transfer to manufacture

Skills and experience required:

+ Design & build bespoke test rigs

+ Previous experience testing electro-mechanical products

+ Robust technical analysis and documentation skills

+ Experience in electro-mechanical assembly

+ Proven experience in reliability testing methodologies

+ Develop test scripts

The salary will be between £55,000-£65,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefits package available including bonus, private medical & good pension.
