Job Title: Hygiene Manager

We are working with a leading multi-site company in the food and drink industry, currently recruiting for a Hygiene Manager to be based at their Leicestershire site. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to lead the hygiene department and ensure the highest hygiene standards are consistently met across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead and manage the hygiene team to ensure all hygiene standards are maintained and continuously improved.
-Ensure all site employees are trained to meet the required hygiene standards.
-Coordinate and oversee scheduled cleaning operations, ensuring they meet Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and customer standards.
-Develop and implement a comprehensive cleaning plan that aligns with the site's operational needs.
-Support and be present for external audits, including BRC and retailer audits, ensuring -compliance with all relevant standards.
-Report directly to the Technical Manager, providing regular updates on hygiene performance and areas for improvement.
-Ensure a strong understanding and application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across the team.
Essential Requirements:
-Previous experience working directly with retailers and being present for retailer audits.
-Experience with BRC standards and participation in BRC audits is essential.
-Strong knowledge and understanding of BRC and HACCP.
-Proven ability to lead and communicate effectively with a team.
-Comprehensive understanding of GMP and its application in a food manufacturing environment.
