Reporting into the Director of Adult Social Care you will be responsible for improving strength-based practice for the Local Authority.

Your role as a Principal Social Worker:

Principal Social worker to ensure there is social work professional development and embed good practice

Lead on preparedness for CQC

Will work with senior leaders across the directorate and members in relation to practice and meeting statutory requirements

Drive quality improvement and standards across the Local Authority

Collaborate with staff and individuals who have personal experience to create a new approach for focusing on strengths, based on our Adult Social Care Vision.

Your previous experience as a Principal Social Worker:

Must have a critical eye for quality practice

Experience and knowledge of CQC

Will be able to lead good social work practice, demonstrate gravitas and confidence to effect change both with senior managers across the wider team in addition to working with lead members.

Excellent communication and report writing skills

Strong Social worker background preferably as a PSW.

You must have worked at HOS or above to be considered for this role.
