I am working with a leading Investment Bank on a new Quantitative Analyst role for a maternity cover.


Job Summary: As a Quantitative Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing the methodologies used to value our European stock of IPV, FVR, and PVA. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the business to ensure that our valuation practices are accurate, robust, and aligned with our risk management objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain IPV, FVR, and PVA methodologies for multiple business lines, adhering to established documentation guidelines.
  • Provide quantitative analysis and insights to support decision-making on IPV, FVR, and PVA methodology decisions.
  • Review and challenge existing methodologies based on data-driven analysis.
  • Calibrate IPV, FVR, and PVA methodologies at appropriate frequency.
  • Analyse and communicate variations in IPV, FVR, and PVA stocks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with key partners within Risk and the business.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the business lines and risk management practices


Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Sciences, or a related field from a reputable university.
  • Proven track record of hands-on experience in quantitative or data analysis within the financial industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Python or other advanced coding languages.
  • Deep understanding of option principles, risk management, and trading for multiple asset classes.
