Belcan Workforce Solutions have an exciting opportunity for you to join a leading engineering and maintenance provider as a Control Panel/Equipment Test Engineer.

Our client supports customers across the chemical & petrochemical, nuclear, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals & biopharma, power & energy, utilities, renewables, and food & beverage markets.

This is a permanent opportunity based on site in St Helens.

Core Tasks & Responsibilities

As a Control Panel Test Engineer you will carry out Inspection, Testing and Commissioning of Electrical and Instrumentation panels / systems in house and on site.

You will assist in the building and wiring of control panels when required and attend sites to complete modifications to existing / new panels.You will ensure all work is completed to specification and deadlines.

Qualifications & Competencies

You will be a time served electrician/instrument technician with experience of testing industrial control panels, on site installation work, commissioning of systems, instrumentation and control panel wiring.

You will need knowledge and understanding of 3 phase systems, MCC control panels, PLC systems and schematics drawings.

You will need:

City & Guilds- 2391 Test & Inspection.


City & Guilds th Edition.
