Jimmy's Jobs of the Future is a podcast hosted by Jimmy McLoughlin, a former Downing Street adviser, focusing on the future of work and entrepreneurship. The podcast explores where the jobs of the future are coming from and the skills needed to build successful businesses over the next five years. Based in South London, we are dedicated to uncovering insights and trends that shape the future of work. We have 100k subscribers across all channels, with 45k on YouTube.

Role Description

This is a contract Business Development Manager role with Jimmy's Jobs of the Future. The Head of Business Development will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential partners, and driving growth strategies for the podcast. You will also be responsible for leading projects four our corporate content arm Boxlight - www.boxlight.io

The podcast / YouTube industry is incredibly nascent, so it is difficult to say we want you to have direct experience of that, but we need someone who is creative and can be innovative when it comes to models and structures of how it works. 

For the initial period, we are looking for someone to be in the office full time, further down the line, there will be flexibility, our founder, Jimmy has three kids under the age of 5 and appreciates more than most the challenges of balancing it all. 

Qualifications

• Business Development, Sales, and Marketing skills
• Experience in building partnerships and securing sponsorships
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Knowledge of the podcasting or media industry is a definite plus
