National Business Development Manager

There’s a new opportunity (heating and climate solutions) within our clients team for a National Business Development Manager. Reporting to the Commercial Director, this is a key role for our Client and their growth strategy. Having overall responsibility for National Accounts such as Screwfix, B&Q and other major accounts in this sector.

This is a senior BDM role and we are looking for people who are currently operating in a similar role within the HVAC sector. We will only be shortlisting candidates who can demonstrate HVAC experience within a BDM or similar role and those who have experience in dealing with the relevant channel customers. It may be you are currently in a regional role and looking to take the next step in your career to a National role

Who are we looking for?

Someone who is already currently active in the HVAC scene that has a genuine interest in sustainability and the road to decarbonisation. We will also require you to have experience in dealing with the major merchants and / or distributors in the HVAC sector.

• Extensive experience within a technical and engineering discipline or be educated to HND/Degree level.
• Proven track record of delivering lead generation and sales across the merchant world
• Experience of senior level negotiation and dealing within conflict.
• Ability to understand and interpret the market, products and services.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Broad knowledge of UK construction and HVAC markets
• Excellent all-round communicator, possessing strong electronic, written and oral communication abilities, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
• Worked across multiple segments and applications in the construction industry.

As this is a National role, you can be based anywhere in England, be authorised to live and work in the UK (without sponsorship) and have relevant experience in a similar role.
