Secondary School KS3/KS4 Geography Teacher - October Start

Class Cover are seeking an expereinced Geography Teacher to teach geography to students at the secondary level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality geography lessons that align with the national curriculum and school guidelines.
• Assessment: Design and administer assessments to monitor student progress, provide feedback, and prepare students for national examinations.
• Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and manages classroom behavior effectively.
• Student Support: Provide additional support to students who require extra help, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress.
• Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to keep up-to-date with educational best practices and geographical knowledge.
• Department Contribution: Collaborate with colleagues to develop the geography curriculum, share teaching resources, and contribute to departmental meetings and initiatives.
• Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students by following school policies on safeguarding and child protection.

Qualifications:

• Education: A degree in Geography or a related field. A Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience: Previous experience teaching geography at the secondary school level is preferred.
