Salary: MPS/UPS + 8.5% (Inner London) plus TLR1b £14,522

The School

MLK Education Search is proud to be supporting this 'Good' school to secure an experienced SEND Co-ordinator to join their team as soon as possible. They have been a part of the local community in South East London for more than 300 years. Underpinned with a Christian ethos, the school welcomes staff, and students from all faiths.

This is an exciting time to be joining having recently achieved their best ever GCSE outcomes with 56% achieving grade 5+ in English and Maths and a P8 score of +0.48. VI form results were excellent with 58% of grades at A -B rewarding the excellent investment from leadership and staff into continuously improving the school in all areas.

The Role

The need has arisen due to the retirement of the previous, long-standing SENDCo and they are seeking an excellent classroom teacher, that is highly motivated, and ambitious SENDCo to lead their thriving Learning Development team.

SEND is a very strong area of the school with a track record of successful outcomes for students. The team consists of the SENDCo, Deputy SENDCo and 8 LSAs. There are currently 35 students on roll with EHCPs and 15% of students are on the SEN register. The ambition for all students is to believe they can make outstanding academic progress and the SENDCo plays a critical role in influencing this through teaching and learning so that every student with additional needs can achieve and be successful.
