Site Supervisor

Toro Recruitment is proud to be partnered with a specialised engineering company that delivers full turnkey services for renewable energy generation projects, including services up to and including 132kV. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee projects across the UK. This role requires frequent travel and offers the opportunity to work on innovative renewable energy initiatives.
As a Site Supervisor, you will manage all civil construction activities, ensuring the work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise civil construction activities such as excavation, foundation work, trenching, and concrete pouring.
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and on-site personnel.
- Ensure all work adheres to project specifications, drawings, and health and safety regulations.
- Monitor progress against the project schedule and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines.
- Conduct site inspections to verify quality and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Report on progress, delays, and challenges to the project management team.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and tools.
- Manage materials and resources to meet project needs.
- Assist in preparing risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and related documentation.
- Attend project meetings and provide input on civil works.
- Operate machinery such as dumpers and 360 excavators when required.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in civils/groundworks within the Power Distribution sector (LV/HV).
- Experience working with systems up to and including 132kV.
- Machine tickets: Digger/Dumper.
- SHEA Power certification.
- First Aid qualification.
- In-depth knowledge of civil construction techniques and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
Salary and Benefits:
- Competitive salary up to 45,000 per annum.
- 26 days of holiday plus bank holidays (with an additional day after 2 years of service).
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
