New Product Introduction Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate with all relevant departments (R&D, Operations, Procurement) to ensure a cost-effective and timely introduction of new products

• Identify and implement processes for new products

• Plan and oversee new manufacturing processes and ensure a successful transition

• Conducts risk assessments and risk mitigation

• Identify, report and resolve production bottlenecks

• Ensure product and process quality

• Produce project timelines and costings for production

• Assess tooling requirements and ordering

Experience:

• 2-3 years experience in manufacturing in a similar role and have a background in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• You will be qualified in a relevant discipline, either apprentice trained or to degree level. As an experienced engineer, looking for improvements and new technical solutions will come naturally to you.
• Knowledge or experience working with medical devices manufacture, assistive furniture or postural support products would be desirable as would knowledge of medical device regulations, however, this is not essential, training will be provided
• Production process improvement experience for efficiency (material utilisation; time; cost; quality; compliance). Experience of working with different materials such as wood, sheet plastic, fabric, sheet cardboard etc. would be helpful.
