Role: Area Sales Manager

Location: North Based - monthly office days

Salary: up to £40,000 plus commission and monthly car allowance


Lavandi Talent are working with one of our exclusive clients who are on the lookout for an Area Sales Manager to join their team. The role is predominantly north based and will be joining a fantastic team of lovely and hard working individuals. They are looking for someone to grow and nurture business relationships with existing customers by selling to new accounts within the northern territory.

To maintain and develop business with existing customers and to develop business by locating and selling to new accounts within listed territory

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company and its products effectively, following the guidance of the National Sales Manager, by developing a deep knowledge of the product range and understanding their various applications.
  • Consistently achieve all KPIs and monthly sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Expand the territory by opening new business accounts, contributing to the company's overall growth.
  • Strategically plan and manage territory coverage in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Handle inquiries, orders, and sales documentation efficiently, including submitting any required reports to the wholesale division.
  • Provide timely and clear reporting on daily activities, customer developments, and emerging business trends. Communicate customer feedback, satisfaction, and competitor activities to relevant departments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, making regular visits and delivering product demonstrations to both potential and existing clients.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all national sales meetings, exhibitions, and company-organized training sessions.
  • Stay updated on the company's products, their applications, and improve sales presentation skills by attending regular meetings, product training, and engaging in personal development.
  • Continuously develop professional selling skills through meetings, discussions, training sessions, reading, and practical experience.
  • Collaborate in the development of new products for both existing and new accounts.
  • Work closely with the National Sales Manager, Brand Managers, Customer Service Team, Education Coordinator, and Warehouse team to maintain high levels of customer service and product advice.
  • Assist the National Sales Manager with day-to-day sales activities such as preparing quotations, prospecting, and managing key accounts.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the competitive landscape and market within the territory, while demonstrating strong commercial awareness.
  • Understand wholesale discount structures and special pricing, negotiating and quoting within company guidelines.
  • Leverage knowledge of market trends and customer needs to contribute to accurate sales forecasting and effective sales planning.
