About the role & team

My partner client (who we have placed 300+ contractors with over the years) are looking for a Kafka Engineer who is skilled in building Kafka on Kubernetes - You will be responsible for building and deploying Kafka clusters on both on-prem and public cloud Kubernetes environments.

Skills needed

• Hands on experience working on Kafka connect using schema registry in a very high volume.
• Administration and operations of the Kafka platform - Working on Kafka connectors such as MQ connectors, Elastic Search connectors, JDBC connectors, File stream connector, JMS source connectors, Tasks, Workers, converters, Transforms.
• Hands on experience on custom connectors using the Kafka core concepts and API.
• Using automation tools like provisioning using Docker, Jenkins, and GitLab.
• Setting up security on Kafka, Monitor, prevent and troubleshoot security-related issues.
