Job Vacancy: Course Team Leader Plumbing & Multi-Skills

Key Responsibilities:

As a Course Team Leader, you will:

  • Lead Curriculum Development: Shape the curriculum for plumbing, gas, and multi-skills programmes, ensuring it remains relevant, engaging, and up-to-date with industry standards.
  • Manage Resources: Optimise staffing and materials, ensuring the best use of resources to deliver high-quality education.
  • Maximise Funding: Drive enrolment, retention, and student achievement to secure maximum funding and income for the school.
  • Work-Based Learning (WBL) Coordination: Oversee WBL provisions, ensuring students gain practical experience that enhances their employability.

Core Duties:

  • Student Recruitment: Participate in open evenings, conduct interviews, and contribute to marketing strategies to attract and guide potential students.
  • Student Support: Lead student inductions, monitor academic progress, and ensure students have access to necessary support and resources.
  • Programme Delivery: Teach across a range of construction and engineering programmes, integrating IT and learning technologies to enhance student engagement.
  • Curriculum Management: Maintain up-to-date records, lead course team meetings, and support staff through appraisals and mentoring.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement student feedback processes, conduct course reviews, and set targets for retention, achievement, and attendance.
