Primary school lunchtime supervisor

Stafflex is recruiting reliable and approachable Lunchtime Supervisors to support primary schools in Huddersfield. In this role, you will oversee and assist students during lunchtime, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and orderly environment. This is a key position in helping children have a positive and structured lunchtime experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise children during lunch periods, both in the dining hall and on the playground
• Monitor and manage student behaviour, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring adherence to school rules
• Provide support to children who may need help with eating or social interactions
• Ensure the dining area and playground are clean and tidy, following health and safety guidelines

Requirements:

• Experience working with children, ideally in a school or childcare setting
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour
• Ability to manage and supervise groups of children effectively
• Good organisational skills and the ability to handle various situations calmly
• An enhanced DBS check registered with the DBS Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
