Automation Engineer

Immediate opportunity for an Automation Engineer with Beckhoff and DELPHI to join a specialist engineering company who provide highly accurate and cost-effective systems for a variety of aerospace, automotive, defence and motorsport applications.

You will be focusing on automated test and robotic equipment for a myriad of other complex engineering applications.

£55-70k + 20% Annual Bonus, Flexi-Time

The roles will involve working within the engineering team to support existing projects and to drive through the development of new, cutting edge solutions.

You will utilise your software and electronic skills to build systems for leading corporations in the UK and USA.

Software Development Engineer - Requirements

• Bachelor degree
• Knowledge of modern high-level programming languages ie; Delphi
• Knowledge of modern PLC hardware/software packages (e.g. Beckhoff, Rockwell, Siemens etc)
• Experience of servo motor / motion control advantageous
• Ability to interpret various electrical drawings/documents e.g. I/O schedules
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Confident communicator, both written and verbal - ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
• Demonstrate potential to grow into a management position
• Knowledge of engineering lifecycle and business process

If you have experience in the development of either Robotics, Motion Control Projects, Data Acquisition, Safety Systems or Networking protocols, this position could be ideal for you.

Minimum office hours are 10:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday inclusive, and 10:00 – 13:00 on Fridays. The company provides a profit share scheme which for fiscal year 2024 is 20% on target performance. There will be a requirement for international commissioning, however this is max 4 weeks per year
