National Account Manager

NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER – HORMEL FOODS UK OFFICE (Part of Danish Crown)

We are recruiting for a National Account Manager position within the branded team based in the Leamington Spa office. We seek a dynamic and driven individual with strong commercial acumen to support the growth of the Hormel Branded portfolio with key UK retailers and channels.   

Hormel Foods is a $13bn global branded food company. Brands include SKIPPY Peanut Butter, SPAM Brand, STAGG Chili and PLANTERS.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Pro-actively manage existing customer relationships, managing growth of the existing branded business and identifying new business opportunities.

·      Ensure all day-to-day account issues are dealt with effectively and efficiently with a customer centric approach.

• Support the sales and marketing teams to manage and deliver regional projects in a timely manner. 
• Manage trade investments and run promotional post-evaluation and optimisation to drive ROI.
• Manage the implementation of trade marketing initiatives in store and on-line, working with Sales & Marketing departments.

The ideal candidate would be graduate calibre with a minim 2-3 years of experience in an FMCG sales role or FMCG buying/ category role.

Skills/ experience required:

• Degree qualified or equivalent.
• 2 to 3 years sales experience with an FMCG company or head office of a grocery retailer, ideally food related.
• Strong analytical capability and highly numerate.
• Solid multi-tasking, project management, and prioritization skills.
• Demonstrate positive energy to effectively represent brand internally/externally.
• Ambitious team player.
• Excellent Microsoft skills-Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

The role would suit an experienced NAE looking for a junior NAM role or candidates currently working as a junior NAM but looking for a NAM role.

The role will be a hybrid role, 3 days (Tue-Thu) in the office and 2 days WFH.
