We are seeking a highly experienced Interim Adult Social Care Programme Manager to lead a crucial improvement programme within a London Borough Council's Adult Social Care service. This is a strategic role focused on driving performance improvements, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring compliance with CQC (Care Quality Commission) standards.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading service improvements within Adult Social Care, working at a senior management level, and demonstrating a deep understanding of CQC regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement strategic improvements in Adult Social Care services across the borough.
- Ensure alignment with CQC requirements and drive quality improvements in service delivery.
- Work closely with senior leadership and service teams to identify areas for performance enhancement and deliver sustainable change.
- Oversee and manage key improvement programmes, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance to operational managers and staff to embed best practices and drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcomes, ensuring services meet regulatory and stakeholder expectations.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including health partners, CQC inspectors, and local authority members.
- Develop and maintain effective governance structures to support programme delivery.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven track record of improving Adult Social Care services in line with CQC standards.
- Extensive experience working at a senior management level within local government or health sectors.
- Strong strategic planning and project management skills, with the ability to drive large-scale improvement programmes.
- Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations, Adult Social Care legislation, and best practice standards.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver successful outcomes in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel to London once or twice per week.
