Contract: Permanent

Location: Lisburn / Dublin

Salary: Competitive + Commission + Company Vehicle

Briggs Equipment Group is a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland.

We are an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, hardworking, and enthusiastic Business Development Manager to join our Short-Term Hire team based in Lisburn.

In this role you will be:

  • Identifying and developing new customers for our Short-Term Hire department across Northern Ireland with a view to maximising the utilisation of our fleet.
  • Working closely with the STH Manager and team to ensure that customer needs are achieved daily and that customer service standards are maintained.
  • Achieve Volume targets for Short Term Hire (STH).
  • Managing route plan to ensure effective coverage of account base.
  • Identifying opportunities by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
  • Developing and negotiating strategies by examining risks and anticipating customer needs.
  • Closing new business deals with STH customers by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements within business operations.
  • Aligning knowledge gained from the local and national market to support the company and its customers.
  • Maintaining and expanding existing client database.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure that the company is providing the appropriate range and quality of products and services.

What will help you to excel in this role:

  • Previous experience with sales, business development or account management.
  • Proven record in a problem-solving role
  • Customer service focussed with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Capital equipment experience required ideally in the material handling industry.
  • Full, clean driving licence with a willingness to travel
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Results driven
