Operational Technology Engineer


Role: Operational Technology Engineer or Manufacturing Systems Engineer

Specialisms: Operational Technology (OT), Manufacturing Systems, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GPO, IT Security, IT Engineering, Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals

Type: Contract

Location: Stevenage

Work Pattern: On-Site (shift based)

Duration: Rolling Contract (Long-Term)

Start: ASAP / Urgent

Pay Rate: £300 - £430 per day


Operational Technology Engineer


CPS Group UK are delighted to be working with a leading Manufacturing organisation to appoint an Operational Technology Engineer to join them on a long-term rolling contract basis. The Operational Technology Engineer will provide technical support to physical systems and devices in the live manufacturing environment through robust IT-based engineering.


*Due to the site being fully operational 7 days per week, Engineers must be open to providing weekend cover where required and working varying shifts (6am – 10pm)*


Role Requirements


• IT Communication & OT tablet/PC builds

• Network patching

• Remote access provisioning

• Port audits and patching

• GMP Change management and document updates

• GPO recommendations and deployment

• Managing OT PC image and IT communication tablet image with version control

• Troubleshoot issues between physical equipment and PC/Network/identity AD/infrastructure

• Service desk Request management for OT management

• Service desk “incidents” for OT

• Support project work/and BAU change.

• Set up clean room peripherals (e.g. cabling, adaptors)

• Support both Project & BAU initiatives


Required Skills & Experience


• Demonstrable experience in Operational Technology and/or Manufacturing technical support

• Core understanding of Operational Technology principles

• Appreciation of GMP regulations and how this impacts day-to-day working practices

• Understanding of data/meta-data/raw data/data integrity

• Appreciation of application and the interaction with Server, PC, Network, the physical world

• Possesses a ‘security mindset’

• Ability to look at impact of OT failure up & down stream
