Job Requirements/Description
We are a family from Launceston currently looking for an au pair to help out with everyday childcare task for our 6 month old baby(born 7/4/24). Ideally, we would like someone to look after our baby up to five days a week so I can return to work. We would like someone that has experience, enjoys babies, can be silly with play, happy to take bub and dog Zola for a walk, would be willing to go to events with bub during the day when you are looking after him to keep him leaning and just look after him like we would with love and care. Light housework, for example: cleaning up after bub, basic washing and just general day to day tiding-we are not looking for a cleaner, just someone that will take care of our home if it was their own and tidy up after themselves.
We are looking for an arrangement to look after bub from 7am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday, with two Fridays off a month-can be pre booked in prior to that month. Weekends you will be free to travel/personal time. Every now and again it would be nice for husband and I to have a date night which would be booked in prior.
This is a new experience for us instead of putting our baby into child minding. We are very open to an Au Pair that speaks a different language then English as their first language but ideally their English skills would need be strong as bub will be learning to talk. We are looking for a long-term agreement at least 3-6 months, extend if we are all happy. This does not need to be a live in if you had other living arrangements. If you lived in the family home, you would have your own bedroom, with ample room and a bathroom.
