We are working with a dedicated secondary school in Bristol who are committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for all students. The academy faces behavioural challenges, but they pride themselves on our robust support systems and collaborative staff community.

A Food Technology Teacher is required to join the team on a fixed-term contract for one year. The successful Food Technology Teacher will inspire and engage students, helping them develop practical skills and a love for food technology.

Key Responsibilities of a Food Technology Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Food Design & Technology
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Manage classroom behaviour, fostering a positive and conducive learning environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and support student needs
• Participate in school events, parent meetings, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications and Experience Needed as a Food Technology Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience in teaching Food Design & Technology at the secondary level
• Strong classroom management skills
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• A commitment to the school s ethos and values
