About Cleo

Most people come to Cleo to do work that matters. Every day, we empower people to build a life beyond their next paycheck, building a beloved AI that enables you to forge your own path toward financial well-being.

Backed by some of the most well-known investors in tech, we've reached millions of people to support them throughout their financial lives, from their first paycheck to their first home and beyond. We're hitting headlines too. This year, Forbes named us as one of their Next Billion Dollar Startups, and we were crowned the 'Hottest Tech Scaleup' at the Europas.

If you're an experienced, customer-obsessed PMM who is ready to embrace a rapidly developing product marketing function, this role is for you.

Cleo's product marketing team represents the voice of the customer within our product development process and communicates the value of our products back to consumers. We focus on driving product adoption, engagement, and user delight. Cleo's products have evolved and diversified quickly - and now both product and marketing teams can't wait to embrace the value of a high-performing PMM.

This is an IC role, reporting to the Director of Product Marketing. The ideal candidate is based in London and willing to spend some time in our Shoreditch office. As Cleo's market is the US, experience of the American market is required.

As our Senior Product Marketing Manager (PMM) - New Ventures, you will be the dedicated PMM on our "Grow" features (Savings & Challenges) that are already in market as well as supporting our net new product development ("New Bets") process and respective launches.

Within this scope, you will:

  • Lead product-specific go-to-market: Develop, evolve, and own the GTM strategy for our newest bets as well as our grow features, inclusive of:
  • Product messaging and positioning
  • Pricing and packaging of both existing and new features
  • Influencing, synthesizing information, and driving consistency in GTM across functions (product management, product design, marketing design, commercial, user research, and more)
  • Be the voice of our customers in product development:
  • Deeply understand how and why current and new users might engage with (1) our Savings & Habit building products and (2) net new product opportunities.
  • This will include both (1) identifying unarticulated needs and (2) collaborating with user research, analytics, and product to develop and execute inbound/understand roadmaps - inclusive of market testing, whitespace analysis, gaps analysis, and innovation opportunities
  • Support in building and implementing audience segmentation strategies relevant to the FinTech ecosystem
  • Own competitive intelligence: Identify and analyze competitive savings, habits/challenges, and other competitor offerings and deliver relevant updates to product and marketing teams
  • Iterate with Data: Synthesize inputs, both qualitative and quantitative, across product, growth, marketing, user research, and the wider industry
  • Communicate & Influence: Proactively update both product squads and marketing teams on product developments, roadmaps, testing (both in-app and in external marketing), messaging, positioning, and more
  • Drive product growth: Support product feature campaigns for existing product updates, working closely with CRM and performance marketing teams to deliver successfully
  • Be our product spokesperson: Be our voice in the market at partner events and on social media, as well as to influencers, press, panels, and our end-users
  • Produce content: Develop product-based content (tutorials, demonstrations, videos, "how to" guides, case studies) in partnership with our creative studio, product, and engineering teams
  • Drive impact: Measure success by tracking relevant metrics and KPIs
  • Internal and external product expert: Develop and be able to simply communicate a deep understanding of Cleo's savings, challenges, and future new bet capabilities

About you

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in product marketing with a proven track record of executing in high-growth and fast-paced environments
  • Experience in the US market is a must
  • Embody a customer-obsessed mindset
  • Creativity. We're radically changing how people interact with and feel about their finances. This means thinking about problems in a different way
  • Technical knowledge of financial products or the ability to learn quickly
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to engage and work with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Experience building new products from pre-ideation stage, then bringing them successfully to market (0 1)
  • Proven track record of driving cross-functional alignment between Marketing, Product and Engineering teams
  • Superb project management and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in using data and insights to inform product and GTM strategy
  • Experience in B2C product marketing is required
  • Experience in FinTech is a big plus
