The Manufacturing Supervisor ensures the safety, timely delivery, and efficiency of team members. This includes working with the technical experts to develop robust processes to ensuring operators and engineers are trained and able to complete task
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads safety within their team,
- Responsible for SQDCP process for their team members,
- Working with cross functional teams to develop standard processes
- Lead team in using problem solving to understand root causes of process issues and plan effective corrective actions to reduce process variability and improve process effectiveness and robustness.
- Develop and deliver detailed project plans to drive implementation and track results.
- Analyses opportunities, evaluates alternatives to maximize savings and improve customer service.
- Understand, plan, manage investment needs for the business both in terms of equipment capability, process capability, business continuity.
- Supporting business in building and delivering Capex projects and building robust budgets for the business.
- Provides input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customers.
- Ensure departments and team members are working in line with quality requirements and procedures, supporting audits and finding resolution where required.
- Assists in the professional development of team to ensure needed training, succession planning, retention and elimination of single points of failure.
Qualifications/Education and/or Experience:
- Preferred bachelor’s degree (BA, BSc, BEng)
- Background in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Process Engineering would be ideal.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and use of data to drive actions is preferable.
- Working knowledge of safety, management, processes preferable.
- Quick learner who is adaptive to and embraces change.
