Facilities Maintenance Technician

Do you want to work for a leading global manufacturer of doors? Due to expansion, JELD-WEN Penrith is now looking for a fantastic Facilities Technician to join our friendly team!

As a Facilities Technician, you will set the standards for general plant maintenance, and operational activities. You will be responsible for the general upkeep of the site, cleaning and performing weekly servicing of two bio-mass boilers and carrying out daily and weekly engineering compliance checks and risk assessments.

Full Time 78h 2-week rota(day and night shifts) working every other weekendallowing for weekend maintenance.

Excellent benefits and competitive pay- £17.72 p/h resulting in a salary of £41,879.45 plus opportunities for overtime.

Your role:

• Cleaning the boilers to a schedule so they stay in regular service
• Carry out general maintenance tasks, greasing, pressure washing etc.
• Opening and closing of the factory
• Carry out daily and weekly boiler checks, including water analysis
• Weekly legionella testing around the site
• Recording weekly energy and water meter readings
• Carrying out general repairs to buildings including basic plumbing and painting.

What were looking for:

• Ability to carry out general maintenance tasks to a high standard
• Basic IT skills for logging jobs and meter readings
• Commitment to working safely
• Positive attitude andreliability
• Experience of boilers is desired but not essential as training will be provided
• Forklift truck experience is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided.
