We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor Teacher and Cover Supervisor Manager to join our middle school in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about education and looking to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners. The school has good transport links which means if you do not have a license it does not matter. We are able to give excellent daily pay rates with the cover supervisor manager receiving higher pay than the standard cover supervisor pay. The contract for this role will last until minimum January 2025 with a permanent position potentially on offer after review of performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes ensuring pupils remain on task with the work set by the teaching staff.
- Maintain classroom discipline and follow the school's behaviour policy.
- Support students with their learning, answering questions, and providing guidance where needed.
- Report any issues or concerns to the relevant staff, including safeguarding and pastoral issues.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and leadership to create a positive learning environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Adaptability and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- An interest in education and a desire to support students’ learning.
- No formal teaching qualification is required, but experience in a similar role is beneficial.
