As experts in the technology of light, G&H works with customers to provide optical systems, assemblies, and components for demanding applications. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Periscope Development Manager to lead our efforts in designing, developing, and launching advanced periscope and sighting systems tailored to meet bespoke customer requirements. This role will play a critical part in shaping our periscope strategy and driving the introduction of new technologies in our passive/analogue product range.

Responsibilities include;

Customer Interaction: Collaborate closely with customers and the sales team to understand and translate customer requirements into innovative periscope and sighting system designs and specifications.

Product Development: Lead the development of new periscopes and sighting systems, ensuring that our products remain at the cutting edge of technology and continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Technology Leadership: Spearhead the introduction of new technologies within the passive/analogue periscope range, guiding the product line from conception through to market launch.

Strategic Input: Play a key role in defining and shaping the future of our periscope product strategy, contributing to our long-term vision and success.

Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of periscope development projects, from initial concept through to final delivery, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.

Collaboration and Leadership: Work cross-functionally with engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.

Ideal candidates will have the following attributes;

• Proven experience in periscope or optical systems development.
• Strong background in customer interaction and translating requirements into technical designs.
• Leadership experience in product development, particularly in launching new technologies.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to influence and shape product direction.
• Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Passionate about innovation and driving technology forward.
